Diving from the Banda Sea to Papua, Indonesia

A wonderful scuba diving cruise across the Banda Sea to the Papua peninsula, Indonesia.

Here are the underwater wonders of the "Ring of Fire", in the Banda Sea, from Ambon and Nusa Laut, to the archipelago of the Banda Islands and Manuk, also known as the volcano of the snakes.
We also saw few hammerheads and a manta passing by !  Corals and schools of fish are overwhelming.

Diving with the sea snakes in the sulfur clouds of Manuk is a unique experience !!

A night dive in the Banda Island  harbour with the Mandarin fish:

Here the second part of he cruise: diving in the peninsula of Papua, Indonesia, in Mommon and Triton Bay.
We dived and snorkelled with the majestic whale sharks, moments that will stay with me for the rest of my life !

Diving the Raja Ampat archipelago

About 2 days of traveling, 4 flights, to get all the way east of Indonesia, on the top of the Papua peninsula, to reach this legendary remote corner of paradise... Raja Ampat ! An unforgettable liveaboard from Sorong, down to Misool, and back up to Penemu, Waigeo and the Dampier strait, in a kaleidoscopic profusion of fish.....

Bali Underwater, April - May 2013

A tour of Bali, above and underwater, April - May 2013.
The diving sites were Tulamben, including the nice Liberty wreck, Lovina for its muck diving and Menjangan Island.
We also enjoyed some Balinese dances and the visits of some temples and rice fields.
Thanks to Bob Pakiela, Aquamonde Magazine, for organising the photo stage !
And thanks to SDS Music (www.sdsmusic.com) for the soundtrack.

Here is the link to some stunning pictures taken during the diving:

Underwater Martinique !

After almost 2 years, here it is the video of my latest diving holiday: Martinique ! It was a photography stage by Rober Pakiela, from the amazing underwater photography magazine Aquamonde.
It was a lovely week diving, in the clear, calm and warm water of this French speaking Caribbean island. Lots of colors, amazing corals and many little creatures.....

A dive in Den Osse harbor

22 August 2010 - Finally I managed to get back underwater again with my camera! Actually, the excuse was to try some new diving lights ;-) Too bad the viz was quite disappointing...
Den Osse is a nice spot, easy entry from the beach, plenty of life and a toasty temperature of 19 deg throughout the dive.

Isola di Giannutri diving

Easter 2010 - One year after, a lovely day diving in the Tuscan Archipelago, this time around the Giannutri Island. We dived twice close to Punta Secca, at the margin of the marine park. Scorpion fish, jelly fish, moorey eels, spirographs, gorgonians and corals... nice visibility, with a chilly water at 13 degrees.
